Water Resource Center

Yesterday we took a field trip to the water resource center. We will definitely be coming back here! Henry played with nesting blocks, his first time with these. He wasn't sure how to get them apart, but kept trying. He played with them for about 20 mins! He also found a shape sorter...he has one of these at home and spends a lot of time with it. I thought it was interesting he went towards that toy. He also found some small cars, and "drove" them all around. I had to show him how to get onto the play equipment. He wasn't interested at first, but he warmed up to it quickly. Devin spent majority of his time looking at the exhibits, and on the computer playing games.

I loved that they had toys there to play with and a big open space to play in as well as several educational areas. Best part is its totally free!!!

Pearson Air Museum

Today we took a field trip to the Pearson Air Museum. It was so much fun!
We even met a pilot who let us sit in his plane!!

Newport Aquarium

We had a great day exploring the aquarium in Newport today. Afterwards we stopped at Artic Circle for some fries and fry sauce and then checked out South Beach State Park. We'd love to go camping here someday and rent one of their yurts.

Newport Oregon Trip

The beach was beautiful today. Very sunny and warm. We walked on the beach for about an hour then came back to our room and watched the sunset. We even saw some whales from our balcony. We are staying at the Hallmark Inn and so far we really like it!

Zell's (1300 Morrison Portland)

We love coming to Zells because they give you homemade scones and jam with your breakfast. Today we went out of our comfort zone and ordered items we wouldnt normally order for breakfast. I got the huevos rancheros and Raj ordered one of the specials-pork tamale scramble with ajvar sauce. They were both delicious! But of course we couldnt leave with out having one of their great cornmeal-buttermilk pancakes too. If you go before 10am you can get a table fairly quickly.
